Tex Tile Partners with the World Citizen Center to Promote Fabric Reuse and Sustainable Action
In recent years, both the government and businesses have advocated for sustainability, focusing on how to reduce waste byproducts during production or repurpose them to create new value—a growing area of expertise.
Taiwan's renowned textile company, Tex Tile Corporation (hereafter "Tex Tile"), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Taiwan Reyhanli Centre for World Citizens on January 20th. Tex Tile commits to donating fabric offcuts and scraps from its production process to the World Citizen Center free of charge.
These materials will be used in weaving workshops for refugee women, not only advancing the concept of a circular economy but also creating meaningful employment opportunities. This collaboration hopes to support international humanitarian aid and offers solutions to refugee crises.
